ABOUT

After a year and a half of covid we are looking to put the BAND BACK TOGETHER!

We have been around for just over 8 years, and we have seen our fair share of people come and go for a variety of reasons. People getting married, having kids, moving and assorted other reasons. We have released 3 full length albums in that time, and have an album in the works already which came to a halt when covid hit.

What do we have left?

Myself, (Ian) Rhythm and vox.
Kamil (bass) (recorded lead guitar on last 2 albums)
(lead guitar spot has been filled)

What are we looking for

Keys/vocals - My wife played keys and sang for us for many years however we have added a little munchkin to the family so we are looking to find a female vocal keys player. Some of our songs just sound better when a woman sings them.

Who do we want?

financially stable and willing to contribute (recording costs jam space),
have your own vehicle. Being able to stay sober for jams/shows is a requirement.
willingness and motivation to learn the material on your own and show up to jams ready to play. With our last several players we spent most of our time teaching instead of playing and it's hard to move forward with only a couple hours to jam with each other each week.
Age range of around 20 to 40 (we are in our 30s)
Someone who can keep polarizing politics out of the jam space. I can respect you

What auditions would look like:

We have a "large" catalogue. So we don't want to overwhelm anyone by saying HEY LEARN EVERYTHING! Instead, we are looking to have you bring in 3 of our tunes, polished and ready to perform. We can jam those out a few times and go from there. Audition would be on a sunday.

When do we jam?

Kamil is a music teacher and has had the worst band friendly schedule for as long as I've known him, So we jam on Sundays only for now and until we die lol. We can also jam Saturday afternoon/evenings when I am not doing theatre.

What do we play?

We are an original rock and roll band, we put around 2 covers in our sets to keep things interesting to those who haven't heard us before. We change those covers every show. We have historically played a lot of 90’s stuff however nothing is really off the table. Like country? So do we. We are not a country band but covering a country tune would be pretty fun for the crowd since it's something we haven’t done before.

What are our goals?

Finish our 4th LP. We have 3 songs in the studio right now, some more songs on the go and looking to write the rest with our new players. I think it would be easier to get immersed in the band if you are part of the creative/recording process. Something you can listen to and know that you are part of it.

We are not really a touring band (anymore), we tend to stick around Alberta but that is open to change if we are all interested in travelling further.

I tour with a theatre company, there are gaps in which we don't play shows. instead we record, write and get tight. So we are looking to play fewer, but more important gigs. So in general, we are looking to play around a show a month or two, or a cluster of shows in a 2 week period. all this is up in the air because once we get the group solidified we can talk about what will work for all of us.

We just want to play, and create. We may not play stadiums but if we can have an outlet for our lives and be happy and proud of what we do, then I think that is success on its own.
