ABOUT

I am interested in building a rock/metal band to record and perform original music, starting with songs I've written/am writing. There are currently rough demos posted here to give an idea of the sound I'm aiming for. The core of the sound is rock and metal, with the occasional dip into other genres.

A bit about me: my name is Carson, and my musical talent is piano, keyboards, and composing. While this project is relatively new, I've been playing, writing, and recording music for about 15 years (at the time of typing this). I am very invested in making this project work. It has the potential to be very fulfilling for all involved.

The ideal lineup would be:
At least two guitars,
Bass guitar,
Drums,
Harsh and clean vocals with harmony capabilities,
Keyboards (myself)

Lyric writers, music, and song ideas are welcome. My talent is more in music composition and arranging rather than writing lyrics. Although I like to think I'm getting better over time. Any creative input will be appreciated.

I'm working on making more demos available to put on this site. These demos are rough versions of the original songs (pardon the vocals and midi). Since they are rough versions, they are not set in stone. Ideas for riffs, solos, fills, lyrics, or anything else are most welcome. I (perhaps we) would ideally record and perform these songs with the abovementioned instruments. If these sound like something you could see yourself playing and enjoying, do not hesitate to reach out.

For this particular project, the list includes but is not limited to Wintersun, Nightwish, Tristania, Sabaton, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Delain, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, Rush, Leaves Eyes, and Borknagar, as well as several influences beyond rock and metal including:

Video Game Soundtracks (including but not limited to Time Splitters, Kingdom Under Fire, Freedom Fighters, and Jet Set Radio Future),

Trance and other EDM-like music (including but not limited to Andy Moore, The Black Madonna, Ferry Corsten, Astrix, and Oforia).
