Seeking:
* Classically-Trained Soprano (with rock/metal experience or morbid curiosity)
* Keyboardist (orchestrations, synths, ambient textures)
* Drummer (dynamic, theatrical, double-kick proficiency ideal)
* Bassist
* Rhythm Guitarist
* Male Vocalist/Guitarist with false cord growls (even better if you can play rhythm guitar; vocals are secondary!)

About the Band:

We are The Nothing Shrine: a conceptual metal composition project invoking themes of entropy, cosmic annihilation, and the void's triumph over form. Drawing sonic influence from symphonic metal (Blackbriar, Eleine, early Epica), industrial textures, and operatic classical works, our sound fuses orchestral grandeur with heavy modern riffing, theatrical vocals, and relentless atmosphere.

Our music features:

*Contrasts of operatic soprano and theatrical vocals (coloratura is a definite bonus!)

*Classical instrumentation (electric violin, piano, orchestral synths)

*Epic, cinematic song structures

*A conceptual mythos around a cult of beings accelerating the collapse of existence into null equilibrium

We are currently crafting a cycle of two full albums and two EPs (one fully classical in arrangement), with a focus on high-quality production, music video content, regional performances, and festival showcases. Releases are planned over the longer term to build and entice audiences.

No interest in full-time touring, but this project is built to be visually striking, sonically massive, and creatively fulfilling. Think of it as a stage production concept more than a jam band. This is an opportunity to play a character outside of your usual stage persona. You are not you. Here, you are an acolyte of the Shrine.

Who We’re Looking For:

Soprano: A fearless vocalist who can handle classical repertoire and isn’t afraid to cut loose on stage. Stage presence is as important as vocal skill. If you’ve ever thought “what if Nightwish met Nine Inch Nails in a cathedral on fire?” this is your role.

Musicians: We need committed collaborators who understand dynamics, atmosphere, and groove. Bonus if you're into sound design, odd meters, or can play with backing tracks/clicks.

Male Vocalist (optional): A growler with control and presence. Must be able to deliver deep false cord vocals; cleans or instrumental ability a huge plus.

Commitment Level:

*Weekly rehearsals (hybrid remote/in-person)

*Regional live shows (2–6/year), festivals, and online content

*Pro recording setup preferred but not essential
