The Black and White Funks is a Toronto based band of talented professional musicians with a breadth of experience in the music industry. The band performs a variety of genres from Soul to Funk to Top 40 and everything in between. With such a diverse set-list the audience is guaranteed to have a great time dancing and singing late into the night. This musical collective can perform in any configuration from an acoustic duo up to a 9 piece band and a DJ. The performances are tailored to the event in question ensuring top notch entertainment and great vibes.

Our lead singer, Royalty Malakia M. Di Iilha is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has shared the stage with Percy Sledge, Freddie Jackson, Regina Belle, and The Temptations just to name a few. Her voice is very soulful and warm, powerful yet welcoming and instantly recognizable. Royalty’s vocals can be referenced to Jill Scott, Adele, Lady Gaga, Ledisi, and Aretha Franklin.
