Hey there! My name is Dan Schonski, I'm a Canadian musician from Waterdown Ontario. I have been playing guitar and singing my own original compositions since the age of 12, and I am currently 19, with big plans and goals as far as the music goes! I am currently enrolled at Metalworks for Audio Engineering, and I work with another student, who is an even better producer than me, on my music! I am currently working on a new project, full of genres, sounds and emotions that hopefully anyone can listen to. I want to make people feel in this age of sadness and chaos, and I really want you to be a part of this. LET'S MAKE SOMETHING INCREDIBLE! :) <3

Hey!So Hey! was my way of venting and finally cutting off my negative feelings after my years of a terrible relationship. This song was my way off saying goodbye in a mature way, without hard feelings. I really hope you enjiy this track, it means a lot to me. :)
Good RiddanceThis track was written directly after a bad breakup, and is full of raw emotion and energy. I really find that writing your real emotions into a song can be very therapeutic, and this song is a testament to those ideals. This song goes out to anyone who feels used, betrayed, and heartbroken. Good Riddance. We don't need you anymore. :) enjoy <3 xo
Crazy KidHey! this is a track I wrote back in the day about sticking to your guns, pushing past the strain of adversity, and trying your absolute to make it in the industry. I hope you enjoy my weird, Beck style, rap track :) xo enjoy!
Backwards In Love
Backwards In LoveThis track was written off of the same feelings I had when I wrote Then I Might Just Follow it Back.. but with a different twist and flavour. This track is still about the heartbreak, but with a smoother vibe and sound. Please enjoy! and let me know what u think :) xo
Whisper My Life Away
Whisper My Life AwayThis is one of my only piano based songs to date, played by the amazing Andre Boersma from YFC Waterdown, a great friend of mine that I met during my time living in Waterdown, who has become not only a dear friend to me, but a mentor. :) I brought this track to him in the studio of the YFC Waterdown building one afternoon, playing it on the acoustic, and he loved it strait away. After an hour or so of jamming, we decided it more wise to make it an exclusively piano based song, because of the melancholy content in the lyrics and the dark blue nature of the song, we feel that this is the best possible version for you to hear :) this song goes out to anyone completely lost, hopeless, and self loathing.. let this be a reminder that you're not alone, I feel your pain, and if you are EVER in need of a friend, message me anytime, I don't care when, or what you need, just let me in :) take care xo
Our Dreams Will Intertwine
Our Dreams Will IntertwineAnother track played by Andre Boersma on the piano, and my final and favourite song on Ascension. This is a song I wrote when I met the love of my life near the end of High School. Winter A. Bloxom. A gorgeous brunette, passionate about children, life and our love. I'm happy to say that we've been happy for 3 1/2 years now, and we're still falling in love more and more every day. Baby, this song is all yours. <3 <3 <3
Dreams In A Paper Bag
Dreams In A Paper BagDreams In A Paper Bag for me, is one of the only times I've been able to fully convey for feelings into a song, and have no regrets later on about things I could've said to you.. I wrote this song during the time that I was working at a dead end job (my first job), had no time for my friends, music, or passions, and I was at the end of my rope. The words just came to me one day as I was cleaning the floors of my workplace, and I immediately wrote them down on the back of a napkin, and then penned them out when I got in after my shift. This song goes out to anyone needing support, and feeling, or ashamed of putting their dreams on the back burner. In life we have highs and lows, but never let the music stray. Keep it close, and never let it go. I love you xo enjoy :)
Katrina's SongThis was the second song I wrote, on a rainy day back in high school, for my first project Ascension. This song was written about a friend I had back in the day who was inspirational to me, and supportive to me in my darkest times.. so I wrote her a song to be supportive for her too :) I hope you enjoy! x
Then I Might Just Follow It Back...
Then I Might Just Follow It Back...The first song I wrote for Ascension, back when I was feeling sad about a breakup back in high school.. this song still means a lot to me looking back, because it reminds me of when life was simple, and problems like relationships were the hardest things in my life. Those were the days.. ironically. Please enjoy x.
