I'm a graduate student with limited time (as we all are limited) looking to play some music on the side, perhaps even form a cover band.
I'm looking to cover songs that range hard to soft but have a common ethereal, emotive atmosphere. If that makes some sense and doesn't sound too pretentious.
I'd really like to cover these bands: Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and Our Lady Peace.
I'm open to bands with a similar vibe, including: I Mother Earth, M83, Metric, Stars, Muse, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Massive Attack, Neverending White Lights, Boards of Canada, Florence + the Machine, Imogen Heap, Half Moon Run, Matthew Good, Deftones, Coldplay, Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Auf der Maur, Nine Inch Nails, Wintersleep, Snow Patrol, Soundgarden, Tool, The Shins, Arcade Fire.
I play the drums, so I'm looking for vocals, synth, guitar, and bass.
