So, in 2023 I put out a Power-Pop album of original tunes under a band name, The Celestophones, with the title being Take Flight. I did all of the lead vocals and guitars, including bass. However, no luck yet with finding any musicians who want to get together. If you like what you hear, I could send you some song sheets and .mp3s for say, five songs, and we could try to play them at a rehearsal at Lynx Music at Dupont and St. Clarens.
Let me know what days and times are preferable for you to schedule something. It would simply be a get-to-know-you session with no expectations of perfection or anything. I don't have any band members yet so we would just be trying to get the rhythm down as best we can. There's no deadline and I'd like to take the time to rehearse these to get them down tight because these aren't all three chord jam tunes. All ages and genders welcome.
The goal would be to try to play as many rock venues in the GTA (and, at times, outside the GTA like, for example, Peterborough) as much as possible with an eye towards applying to festivals. I would like to eventually develop a 20 song repertoire of my originals and suitable covers but just playing the 12 album tracks (with 5 tunes to start off rehearsing) would suffice for now as we would likely - in most cases - be on bills with other bands.
Let me know what you think. I know it's a lot to throw at you but I just wanted to be thorough.
