Sam, 35 year old.
Experienced amateur guitarist, with some pro experience.
- been playing Gypsy jazz guitar, rhythm and lead, more or less consistently for the last 15 years, jamming with friends, and played a few gigs amateur style
- played 1 year in a band in Bosnia playing Balkan trad repertoire and folk songs, in bars, cafes, weddings, private parties, etc. - this was pro experience, around 30 gigs.
-most recently, 2 years doing rhythm guitar in a vocal jazz trio , Jazz and Bossa standard ; played a few amateur gigs
I know how to get around studio gears and have recorded and mixed a 19 tracks acoustic album for the band I played with in the Balkans.
I also like all sorts of other things, from blues, to punk, prog metal, reggae or funk.
I am very comfortable doing rhythm guitar and some bits of lead, backing a singer or a main lead guitarist.
What I am good at is jamming - I like to mix things in and see where it goes.
