Hello!! My name is Nylah or Elykia, I love to sing and I've sung at my schools talent shows, coffee house nights and school concerts.
My dad used to be a musician, he did soul music but he had to give it up to take care of me and my brother growing up, I get most of my talent from him.
All of my teachers and friends have suggested that I join a band l, and jazz has always been my favorite genre so my biggest dream was to be a vocalist in a jazz band.
I do theatre and I am the director of my choir club.
Music has been my inspiration for a lot of things, the way I dress, the way I think, my passion. I would consider myself as a hippie or some would say an "earthy black girl", and I get that from Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.
