Drummer bassist and guitarist in very early stages of putting together a band. We’re serious musical hobbyists but have no illusions about making a living doing this. We all have experience doing gigs.
Doing the odd gig is definitely a probability, but this is really about having some fun, making good music, taking old tunes into new directions and perhaps doing some home recording while we’re at it.
So far we’ve been jamming Peter Gabriel, The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Tom Petty, Stones, Rick Derringer, Freddie King, Joe Walsh, The Black Crowes and some other stuff but we need a vocalist to help chart our course. If you are a vocalist but also bring something else to the table (ie keys) we are definitely interested.
Classic rock, country, blues, jazz, lap steel and slide guitar, reggae and progressive are all on the table as well as any anything else that has a hook to it...
So, if you’re tired of playing “Sweet Home Alabama” and want to push the musical envelope a bit, it might be worth a chat. We’re currently located in the Westboro area but will probably have to grab some other local practice space once we start to add musicians.
Previously I (drummer) was playing in a three piece rock/blues trio and performed local gigs a couple of times per month, with regular practices in between.
My mindset when playing with a band is to best serve the song, and to not overplay.

Influences
As far as bands go, my influences are all over the map and too numerous to list. I really do appreciate the best in most genres.
As far as specific musicians go, again there are many but I do have a favourite. The drumming of Gavin Harrison incorporates timing, feel, dynamics and creativity that ticks all the boxes for me. Although I could never hope to play at a level anywhere near to his, I strive on a more basic level to improve all of these aspects of my own playing.
