ABOUT

Band just getting started but serious. We practice weekly near Commercial Drive. We have lead vocals, guitar, and drums set, some bass players to audition but still open, and seeking keyboards, horns, and percussionists/multi instrumentalists. We are planning to get a three song demo ready for January of originals to book summer festival gigs. By summer have a full set of originals ready supplemented with covers. Vocal ability a big plus. People in band are working so gigs out of town would be on weekends, we are currently practicing Sunday or Saturday afternoon. At present we plan on doing gigs every couple of weeks or once a month but if we can make it profitable for everyone and travel in comfort we'd of course do more. Typically most gigs I've done have included travel and accommodations, usually flying in to a festival for the weekend. I have a sailboat so gigs on the surrounding coast will be quite profitable without ferry costs. We are trying to build the core of the band so a solid horn player who can do arrangements/charts is critical so we can hire other horns as needed. As well as a keyboard player. Happy to hear from any funky people willing to show up to practice and get the songs together though. I'm a bass player typically (West Coast Funk Mob, Santa Lucia LFR etc) but primarily singing in this band. omaolchonaire at gma*l dot com
