ABOUT

We're an experimental rock group that plays music to suit the mood/style/genre of the song. Experimentation which results in something tangible (usually a high-quality demo) is what we've been working on, successfully. This has led to an album being made as of this writing (14 songs).

To date, we have about 40 songs, 30 complete and 10 in the writing stage that we're working through.

There are other, larger projects in the works for late summer of next year and the band will be relocating entirely to Vancouver to pursue endeavours there.

As of yet, we have not played gigs until the album has been released.

Members Of Band

Currently, Twist of Zen has two members: 1 'strings' player/songwriter, 1 drummer/percussionist/songwriter. We are open to others' creative talent to add to our own in a friendly experimental/idea sharing/trying way. Strong songwriting, transpositional, lyric writing skills are cool to bring, but not essential.

EQUIPMENT

Recording gear: Logic Pro 9, Presonus Studio 1 Producer (compatible with Logic), AudioBox VSL interface, ART Pro MPA II preamp.

Guitar Gear (Edmonton): Assorted guitars, various effects pedals (high quality), tube amplifiers (high quality).

Drums (Vancouver): Ludwig 6 piece, various cymbals, octobans, congas, bongos, wave drum, etc.
