Hi, I'm Rebecca. I was raised in a small beach town in Ontario, Canada called Port Elgin. I can't remember a time when I didn't sing. It started when I was very young and I was singing about obeying my parents at the front of my church. I took voice and piano lessons from a young age and continued through high school and then University graduating with a degree in Music Therapy and a major in voice. After studying, I traveled and taught in China and other countries in Southeast Asia for 8months. I returned in 2006, opened a private practice in Music Therapy and started singing with Stardust Big Band - thanks to Wayne McGrath (the best high school music teacher ever) Since 2007 I have also branched out and sang with various trios, quartets & quintets. Currently I sing with a Jazz Trio (bass, keys, voice) and with the Phoenix Jazz Group (a quintet) who are being played on the Jazz FM station in Toronto. Recently, I recorded a demo with Rick Hutt and these are the tracks you will find on my site. Thanks for checking me out! Enjoy!
