SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Electronic Music.ABOUT
I love to write, produce, and play a variety of music. On my own I work with my acoustic guitar and my iPad the most, but I also have electric guitars. I plan on using my bass guitar as my primary instrument if I can get a band together. I use GarageBand to create electronic music and backing arrangements for my singer-songwriter tunes, and I have used Ableton Live for a variety of work as well.
I tend towards wanting to create dreamy psychedelic atmospheres and earnest, heartfelt lyrics. I also like odd time signatures, danceable rhythms, and introspection. I love stripped down songs as much as densely layered ones.
I'm really interested in starting a band influenced by acts like STRFKR, Men I Trust, Crumb, Phantogram, Hooray For Earth, MGMT, Low Hum, the xx, Meltt, Caribou, Tame Impala, Radiohead, Holy Fu¢k, Washed Out, Delorean, Battles, Baths, Chromatics, Khruangbin, Haim, Husbands, Shampoo, M83, Little Dragon, Mcbaise, Night Tapes, The Knife, Yeasayer, Crystal Castles... Kind of an indie dream psych electronic rock chillwave adjacent sound.

I consider myself above amateur level. I have played in a few bands in the past, and I make a lot of music on my own. In the right scenarios with the right people, magic can happen. I have had periods where I was very prolific with writing music, and others where I did not practice enough, but I am ready to dedicate myself to the craft.
Currently I am available on Fridays or Saturdays, as I work an overnight shift Sunday - Thursday. I'm 45 and looking for like minded musicians in a similar age range (+/- 15yrs or so). Ideally, I'd like to find a drummer, a keyboardist, a female vocalist, and maybe a lead guitarist to work with. Even better if you are a multi-instrumentalist, or if you have a space close by where we can jam.
I love making music. Join me.

Influences
I grew up on 80's pop and new wave and 90's era grunge and alternative.
I have a wide variety of influences beyond that from genres including progressive rock, hip-hop, synthwave, classic rock, ska-punk, EDM, jazz fusion, trance, post-hardcore, and more.
I'm a big fan of Tool, Daft Punk, Phish, Tripping Daisy, the Beatles, OutKast, Nine Inch Nails, Ween, The Impossibles, Pink Floyd, Natalie Merchant, Pearl Jam, The Mars Volta, Nirvana, Portishead, Tears For Fears, FaltyDL, Mineral, Primus, Elliott Smith, Battles, Phil Collins, King Crimson, Built To Spill, Tori Amos, The Smashing Pumpkins, Lone, Mogwai -- the list goes on and on and on.
Not a huge fan of most modern country, butt rock, cock rock, or modern rap, but there's always something in every genre that I will find appealing.
Not really interested in being in a cover band, or a straight ahead rock band.
