The voice he heard went on and on.
    Seemed from dusk til dawn.
Sleep for him would not come.
    Would not come.

    He shakes, feels so cold.
    birth they say he's young.
In his mind and body he feels so old.
    He feels so old.

By He remembers when he way young.
Life was love now he found a gun.
He had dreams. Now he hears.
All he hears are the chilling Screams.
    Chilling screams.
He remembers the first drink he had.
Felt so good. The power that he felt.
    After was all he seeked.
    Was all he seeked.
Plunged a needle deep into his arm.
Sent him to a place he felt so calm.
Tried for years. He tried every day.
    He tried everyday.
Spent every nickle. To Oh Lord.
To his diein'day. To find that calmness
    that went away. Went away.
    Seemed to go astray, astray.
As I stood upon the grass.
My friend down below in the ground.
I felt deep into my soul.
    Deep in my soul.
I felt my friend achieved his goal
he had searched for oh so long.
For that calmness he had felt
    all those years ago.
    Those years ago.
When I left I turned around.
    See yah later my friend.
But I must move on. I must move on.
See yah later my friend .
But I must move on. I must move on.
