My musical experience is primarily percussion, many years ago. I played for roughly a decade, followed by decades of not playing.
Deciding to get back into music again, I got my first bass guitar in September 2024, and I've been woodshedding ever since. I enjoy sight reading along to music from YouTube, I wish they'd had that when I was a kid.
I'm finally feeling ready to reach out and play with some other musicians, see where it leads. Growing my comfort zone is important. Jamming to start, while I figure out any remaining holes in my game, then take it from there. Also, making connections and friends in the local music community, etc.
In the next year or two I'd like to get with a (cover?) band that gigs regularly, and give this a serious shot. In the meantime, I'm open to trying new things, as long as they're interesting. One step at a time.

EQUIPMENT
My main bass is a Yamaha TRBX 174 tuned in E standard, and I also have a homebuilt Jazz bass that I've setup tuned to C standard. My pedalboard has all the basics covered, and I have a decent practice amp.
