SEEKINGBand to Join.
I am looking for a working band currently gigging within the National Capital and Eastern Ontario Regions.
I have played with touring show groups and classic rock bands,Top 40 bands, western swing bands, wedding bands... I have done it all, usually holding down the pocket and contributing background vocals, but sometimes taking the lead vocal.
Experience, wheels, pro gear and attitude, combined with an understanding life-partner make me a reliable band-mate. I can supply musical references upon request.
I have gigged and recorded within almost every genre with some great musicians over 40 years. From high school groups Ostrich Party and Metallus Cimba, to touring show bands such as Frendz and Syren. In Sault Ste. Marie, Rick played with La Band, Bob Yeomans (Jackson Hawk), Jimi Scali (Sasquatch, Kensington Market) and many other huge talents.
In Southwestern Ontario, I most recently played bass with Sarnia's Lit'l CHICAGO, and classic rock party band Hurtin' Merv. I have also gigged with Blues greats Sam Hurrie, Tim Woodcock, Robbie Antone and many others.

My Boy Robot
My Boy Robot Track number: 1 Year: 1981 Album: Desperate Gamble Genre: Pop
This track is a little hissy and screechy, as this copy was ripped from an old chrome cassette of the era. Recorded at Studio 306, Toronto. This is an original tune written by Tom Duffin when I was paying with The Heat in that city. Tom asked me to "go nuts" when I created the bass track for this tune. I tried to sound "robotic" and musical at the same time...
This Time Track number: 4 Year: 1981 Album: Desperate Gamble Genre: Pop
Another hissy copy from an old chrome cassette. I think this bass part demonstrates my ability to lock my bass parts up with a solid kick drum.
Love Shack - Yet Another Cover
Love Shack - Yet Another Cover Track number: 2 Year: 2011 Album: Demo Track Genre: Pop
A basement studio recording. A fun tune to play. Attempting to show I can improvise and funk it up.
