ABOUT

So I've been pretty heavy into music since I was about 14 years old. Throughout high school I took things pretty seriously then when I got into university everything died down a bit, I got distracted and only played casually. In December '08 I sat down and really started writing again and I feel like I've got the spark back but better. I've become more mature as a musician and songwriter since I was in high school and I'm ready to give this a real go. I'll be the first to say that I've still got a lot to work on and learn but there's nowhere to go but up. I worked on writing and recording a few songs for about 3 months or so, threw out many songs and ended up recording 5. I'd like to go back in and re-record these and maybe scrap two of them but it's a start. Please have a listen at www.myspace.com/paradesquare particularly to "Hometown Blues," "The Past's not Present" and "Forbidden Gems." They are my favorite. If you like what you hear, give me a buzz. I'm very open to collaboration on writing as long as the original feel and spirit of the song remain intact. This is acoustic stuff with the drums and synth added in with the computer but I'm looking to develop it into a more rock/emo/alternative feel with a bit of distortion and stronger lead riffs. I'd like to also develop the lyrics more with a second vocalist who would play a part similar to TBS.
