How the band was formed: Not Received started as a humble punk band in 2004, when three high school students with arguable musical talent got together to play. Since then, our music has evolved into something altogether different: rock that features memorable riffs and vocals and can no longer be contained in a single genre name. Not Received is all about relating to people and providing music you can actually get into. How band name formed: Not Received is noted to have had a lot of names over the course of its existence. Chronologically, they were: Macaroni Pictures, The Samurai Jefferson Experience, The Ricewine Quintet, Not Altogether Well Received, & finally Not Received. Also, our name is typically undissable. Green Lame, Lame 41, The Lames, Approaching Lame, Lame Reality.... Not Lame? Fine by us! Best band memory or experience: Since the addition of our drummer Julian this year, the memory that sticks the most is when Tan found a bone in his pizza during a studio rehearsal. Yes, pizza! I hope this never happens to any of you...
