Hey all,
My name is Kent Klatchuk - I am looking for other songwriters, passionate musicians and up and coming artists to write and play with. Here is a little too much about myself but it does help to find out if working together will be a success....I hate wasting time just as much as you.
I am 38 year old passionate musician that works full time as an oil and gas engineer..ahh yes, the part-time rocker strikes again.
I have been playing guitar for ~18 years, I can hold my own with most styles and roles but like anybody there is always room for growth and improvement. I also have some basic skills and experience with drums, piano, bass and vox.
I have played in a few cover bands in the past and did the gig circuit around town. I would like to explore and gain more experience with playing and songwriting with as many people and styles as possible and continue to grow and develop my songwriting craft.
I have written or co-written approximately 45 songs to date. I know my way around Garageband and the home recording process and have achieved good results. I have also been to songwriting workshops where my songs were critiqued by 4 panelists with fair to good results. I have been a member of the NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association), CCMA's (Canadian Country Music Association) and currently a member of Songtown USA.
Ideally I would like to meet up or Skype with some co-writers/artists for a 2-3 hour session once per week (ie: every Sunday evening or the like) and write, create and record great music. Eventually with hopes of performing these songs at songwriter circles/open mics or marketing them to publishers/artists to get them cut on albums.

I am a very much into making commercial, upbeat, radio friendly music that is timeless and has the potential to CHANGE THE WORLD and INSPIRE PEOPLE IN MANY WAYS.
I truly love all types of music and pretty much can respect something about anything and as the old saying goes "there are two types of music - good and bad".

VOX, Fender and Mesa Boogie Amplification, numerous pedals, 2011 MAC with LOGIC 9 for recording, basic PA system and small jam space in basement of house in inner city SW.
