ABOUT

Currently playing in a three piece band "Short Circuit" (two guitars, and bass & use a drum loop pedal). We are all fairly easy going and enjoy the music aspect of what we are doing, but we also take this hobby "so to speak" very seriously. We strive to do our best and to continue to grow. We play a wide variety of Rock, Blues and Middle Of The Road type tunes.

We are all retired now and looking to keep our music going is our priority, and perhaps getting more into it with getting back to gigging again after several years without doing gigs as we now have more time on our hands. Finding the right mix of people at our age (55-70) has been a journey and sometimes a challenge but is well worth it when you find people you click with. We have played a few gigs this past year and things are looking good for the future as we love to let the people hear the music that inspires us to do what we do.

I am also in a second band, that is quite different than my Rock Band, hard to actually pin down what the music is but we're calling it Blues for the time being . . but definitely more contemporary / non-traditional blues. Fun group of guys to work with, and more musical friends which is awesome, this band consists of several members from other Kamloops bands.

I started playing at age 12 and since then I have never not played, even when I was working full time and raising my family I still put a lot of time into music. Open to jamming with others at times as always good to meet new musicians and just have some good ol' fun, and this is how you find kindred spirits of music.

Music is very important to myself and the people I play with as it's a great outlet from life's daily pressures and it has always been a huge passion of mine, always great to connect with other musicians that have similar musical interests and to just have some fun jamming.

As mentioned in our band we currently use a drum loop machine as we have not had great luck keeping drummers over the years and the drums and bass are the core of any good band. We have a very full & tight sound because of the use of these drum loops and our steadfast bass guitarist giving us a solid rhythm section to play along with, as per the recordings here on my BandMix profile as well as the actual band site what you hear is what you get. Most of these recordings were one take so we are able to play the same live.
