I'm a singer new to Montreal. I've got a band on the west coast, there are 7 of us. I organize and promote all the gigs. I'm looking for something smaller here, likely, as it's' easier to schedule. Maybe guitar and bass? But am open to possibilities. I like to sing great songs, anything from Johnny Cash to Carla Bruni to Nine Inch Nails to Fleetwood Mac. Open to originals. I'm interested in regular practice sessions and small gigs. Energy and fun are key. Making music with others is my church, my therapy, and my fun. And I like to share it.

Influences

I'm very much a vocalist, someone interested in voice and great songs. Some of my favorites are Natalie Merchant, Rihannon Giddens, Emmylou Harris, Patti Smith, Sarah MacLachlan, partly because they're great artists and also because they're great collaborators, uplifting other musicians and songs and community. I've been studying voice for some years, and am always learning. You will know more than I do! I listen to anything from Leonard Cohen to Buena Vista Social Club to Bach Cello suites

Currently out west, but I have a nice sound system of Bose line array speakers, an assortment of mics including a couple from Ear Trumpet Labs, lots of cables, 2 monitors, a small Yamaha mixer. All of it relatively new and in great condition.
