ABOUT

Primarly a gambist. Play both the bass viol and the the treble (in the picture). Think cello and violin in terms of sound, but not really.

Can play both acoustic and electic cellos, but not looking for a cello gig. Also can play guitar, bass, piano, but same - would prefer to stick with my instrument.

Amplification is a problem, so not really looking to play with drums, but if anyone is up for playing odd music - I'm really into post black metal and doom, and it sounds great on gamba.

Influences

Anything from early baroque to rococo. Basically, Viola da Gamba went into extinction after that for various reasons. I blame Mozart and the French revolution. Like harpsichords, gambas were considered an aristocratic instrument. But anyway.

Goth rock, black metal, French composers with big white wigs.
