ABOUT

I have been actively playing the drums for over 45 years.

I have recorded albums with In Mynd (1995), an original rock band from Ottawa, as well as for Jimmy Ray Todd (2014), an original blues-southern rock act.

Over the years, I've played in numerous Blues and Rock bands, performing regularly and consistently at many clubs, parties and music festivals. Since 1999 I have focused mainly on the Blues genre, most recently playing Blues with Blues Highway and Sandy Wilson. Other recent bands include Higher Ground and Rampage, both rock and dance 3-piece bands. I was most recently a member of Soulfusion a West Island Montreal band now out of Brockville. It's a '60s and '70s performance and party/dance band with 18 years of performance history.

I've also played several shows with Matt Huges an accomplished recording artist, guitarist, singer and front-man out of Kingston.

I have hosted and backed up Morgan Davis with a full band on 3 occasions, with more to come.

I performed annually for 10+ years at the Limestone City Bluesfest with various bands and pick-up acts.

Currently, I'm a member of the house band at the Texas Tavern hosting a weekly Open Jam with Logan Brown and Mike Mann, playing a myriad of rock, pop and blues favorites.

I have a spacious heated/AC rehearsal hall with PA, guitar, bass and keyboard amps in Brockville.

Influences

Influenced early on by Neil Peart (Rush), Phil Ehart (Kansas) and Billy Cobham, later by Omar Hakim and Bill Steward, and most recently by Billy Martin (MMW), Tom Brechtlein (Robben Ford) and Greg Critchley (Kim Mitchell), I have developed a fine understanding of groove and work closely with the bassist to deliver a rock solid rhythm for the band to build on. I always support the soloist with appropriate volume and colour to help make their solo shine.
