This is my profile seeking collaborators for co-produced original music. I'm looking for serious players, who are willing to commit to a project and understand it takes 6 months to get things going (faster if we're all 100% in). I believe strongly in a team approach - no bosses. I'll do a lot of admin to make it work...but I need creative inputs from others. I'm happy to import appropriate pre-written songs from other members.

I'm looking for positive vibes only, in the room, and to put on stage. No angry lyrics, or sad romantic situations. My goal is to create happiness and excitement in the audience.

My personal goal on this project is the satisfaction of a killer live performance. I don't expect or need it to make money. Hence, I expect project members to have a way to pay the rent that doesn't conflict with being a reliable collaborator. I expect collaborators to contribute to marketing and bringing audience to the show (otherwise it simply won't work). Members should be able to commit to at least once a week rehearsals and once a month performances.

Influences

I care a lot about lyrics. Gord Downie, Aimee Mann are favourites - writers who approach common situations and make them poetic. I don't generally write romantic or angry topics.

Genre-wise, I'm open minded but my strengths are guitar and vocal based. But I love getting a little weird...so Radiohead, Regina Specktor, Andrew Bird, Conor Oberst, Fiona Apple are all aspirational targets. But as stated above...I want this collab project to be "happy".
