Envol et Macadam to hold PLANETROX auditions in 10 different countries!
In 2014, Envol et Macadam will be expanding its ties to the rest of the world and hitting it with a big bang: alternative bands from 10 different countries will be able to sign up for their PLANETROX auditions and thechance to play at the next Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, Canada.
The PLANETROX project is an initiative of Envol et Macadam in collaboration with the City of Quebec. The mission of this international undertaking is to discover the best up-and-coming bands in each of the participating countries and to present them to the public at the Envol et Macadam Festival each September. This first year of PLANETROX will involve Canada, the United States, France, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, China, Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.
Envol et Macadam is Quebec's top alternative music festival. It continues to innovate and to develop projects that allow local and international up-and-coming artists the chance to take part in an event that annually attracts over 20,000 music fans, as well as many industry professionals. Its programming appeals to a young and hip crowd; NOFX, Bad Religion, Mastodon, Sum 41, Pennywise, Karkwa, The Sounds, Metric, Malajube, Raekwon and Bloc Party are but a few of the well-known artists that have played and delighted festival goers at Envol et Macadam in past years.

Tu veux découvrir les meilleurs groupes de la relève japonaise et permettre à l’un d’entre eux de participer à la 15e édition du festival?
Québec, le 5 avril 2010. Du 6 avril au 21 mai 2010, nous vous invitons à voter une fois par jour pour votre groupe japonais préféré dans la section Concours/japanrocks du site d’Envol et Macadam. Les six groupes ayant reçu le plus de votes participeront à la grande finale du concours Japanrocks qui aura lieu le 25 juin à Tokyo.
Le gagnant aura le privilège de participer à la 15e édition du festival Envol et Macadam qui se tiendra à Québec du 9 au 11 septembre 2010. Le grand prix inclut le transport en avion des membres du groupe, l’hébergement à Québec pendant l’événement, la promotion du spectacle à travers les communications du festival et la mise à disposition d’un traducteur japonais pendant le séjour.
Le 24 mai, nous procéderons à la compilation des votes des internautes et les six finalistes pour la grande finale seront annoncés le 25 mai sur le site d’Envol et Macadam.
