ABOUT

I play keys, enjoy playing a wide variety of music: "party" music (suitable for dancing); R&B/funk; disco; blues; classic rock; pop-rock; 50s/60s hits. Good team player, dedicated, hard working. Great gear, lots of gigging experience. I'm willing to consider a "tribute" band, or even a band that tributes more than one artist.

Given that I play bass and keys, I'm able to "switch" if a band has a musician who also plays more than one instrument (e.g., rhythm guitarist who plays bass). This opens up lots of capacity.

Influences

I'm influenced less by any particular band or artist (although I am mesmerized by James Jamerson, Geezer Butler, John Paul Jones, Keith Emreson, Ray Manzarek...), as I am by particular songs. And it's also less about complexity than vibe. "Action" by Streetheart has fairly simple bass notes, but the approach and tone is what got me to love bass. The organ riffs on "Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zeppelin is also not complicated, but is very steamy.
