** Looking for female lead singer, ideally who could pick up some rhythm as needed (keyboard is ideal, but guitar can work); age is not important to us, if you're into what we're doing (but be aware the 3 existing members are late-20s to 40s), if you're into it, I'm sure it can work; more interested in someone with some style over pure technical expertise **
We enjoy performing. Period. As we move into gigging, we're focusing on covers for the moment to maximize our ability to get productive gigs on which to build (although we re-arrange songs quite freely...we have a killer jazzy take on "Hey, You!" for example). Name of the band isn't written in stone - we're just trying to convey a "don't take it too seriously" attitude as that's our way. The emphasis is on entertaining an audience, and we'll set the tone immediately with something that doesn't scream "we are artiste". We want the audience to be having fun too.

Influences
Dire straits, Pink Floyd, Police, Rush, Bruce Cockburn, Peter Gabriel, etc. - sure, it's all over the place. We enjoy the performance and particularly enjoy the challenge of creating a full sound as the 3-piece that we've been to this point. Nothing is off-limits, keeping an eye to having something accessible to the audience.
We have been increasingly incorporating synths into our workflow to this end (i.e. guitar synth, Roland drums); this has been the result of trying to produce as full and/or varied a sound as possible given we're a 3-piece at the moment. Emphasis not on "electronic music", but rather maximum flexibility with minimum equipment. You should hear our version of Subdivisions :).
