I'm a soon to be an expatriated American. (Don't hate me. I've been battling MAGA for 10 years. I'm disgusted with my countrymen. The U.S. has fallen.) After I sell my house, I'm going to live in Canada for the maximum allowable 6 months unless I find a job at a company that will sponsor me.

I'm seeking a band to invent a new sound and write original material, not imitate. I've written over 35 songs. I'm not looking for a cover band. Covers can be fun, though. If I must pick a genre, it's alt-country, for lack of a better word. I like the instrumentation and harmonies of country music.

I play several string instruments. Guitar the best by far. Most of the instruments I've learned are for writing the parts, not mastering for performance, unless absolutely necessary.

On guitar, I play exclusively fingerstyle, including a very dynamic and unique strumming style (at least I think so). I play resophonic fingerstyle. I need a pick for the mando. I need picks for the pedal steel, but I hate them. I need to play that barefoot, so only for recording.

The most important skill not selectable in the questionnaire is songwriting. I write songs.

Everything that enters my ears. I've always been impressed by Lindsey Buckingham's fingerstyle playing. My sound is different. I wanted to grow up to play like Pat Metheny. Couldn't maintain it. I can play the slow tunes, and I learned the bass part to First Circle in its entirety. I like too much to list.
