So here’s the short version: I’m a musician looking for a collaborator (or collaborators).

The long version: I write, arrange, record, produce and mix my own stuff under the band name mothershout. You could call me a “bedroom producer” and I wouldn’t argue with that. Some examples of my music are below, and I'm on Spotify, Youtube and so on. I’m a guitarist and bass player who also plays some keyboards (and whatever other instruments I need). I like doing my own stuff, but it’s also fun working and playing with other musicians, and that’s what I’m looking for.

I'm interested in:
* Harmony (especially vocal harmony), melody, music theory
* Rhythm, groove and the construction of a good bassline
* Arrangement and production
* Creating the best recorded music I can (more than playing live)

I’m not interested in:
* Metal, punk or "classic" rock. Nothing wrong with that, it’s just not my kinda thing.
* Playing bars and clubs; been there, done that, don’t need to do it again.
* Being a backing musician for a frontman/woman with a huge ego.
* Trying to be a star or “make it” to the Big Time. I do this stuff for the fun of it, not to make money.

Influences

Many and varied, anything that’s well-written and well-played. Anything with jazz-influenced harmony is interesting, though I’m not really a jazz player. I love complex arrangements, but I’m also really into well-played music of all kinds.
