ABOUT

Antonio Ribeiro began his musical studies on the recorder in 1992 before transitioning to the concert flute in 1998, studying under Lena Horta from Toninho Horta’s Orquestra Fantasma.

In addition to participating in the recording of his group's debut album in 2000, he has recorded with various other artists and shared the stage with numerous renowned musicians in Brazil.

Living in Toronto, Canada since 2015, he formed the group Aquarela Brasil, featuring a repertoire of bossa nova and samba. With this project, he has performed at several prominent venues, including the traditional Lula Lounge, Alchemy, and Pepper's Cafe.

A lover of fusion and Latin jazz, his music is heavily influenced by Nestor Torres, Fourplay, Ian Anderson, Dave Koz, and David Sanborn as his greatest references.
