ABOUT

Hello! Before coming to Vancouver ~18 months ago, I played guitar and sang/wrote songs for a band in Perth, Australia. Since moving, I have been playing my own music at a tonne of open mics, and I play bass (with the drummer for this new project) in indie band Garden Mice, which is super fun!

Now, I'm starting a new band consisting of me on lead vocals and guitar, another guitarist and a drummer, playing music somewhere in the vein of grungy, funky, psychedelic indie rock - see the videos of our first rehearsal (just myself and the drummer) and the influences section for an idea of style. The music is really coming together so far, but we are very much in need of a bass player to complete the lineup, preferred that you can also sing backing vocals!

Our goals are to start playing gigs as soon as possible and then work towards recording an album. I am also an audio engineer capable of recording and mixing, so it's something we should be able to do mostly ourselves. I have a bunch of songs written and a few song ideas that we have been working through to start with, but I’m keen to incorporate your ideas as well! We're aiming to practice around once a week, and we are currently practicing at Jamnasium in East Van.

I want to work towards these goals seriously, but it's also been pretty fun and jammy, and we're definitely wanting to keep it a friendly and inclusive environment!
