Zay is a new Canadian singer/songwriter/radio and video producer originally from Indonesia now living in St. John's, NL. At the age of 14, he taught himself to play the guitar and fell in love with country music by listening to Shania Twain. While attending university and employed part-time with a country radio station in Indonesia, he formed a band and performed many local gigs. Eventually, Zay went solo and moved to a new position as TV and radio producer and host. Shortly after arriving in Newfoundland in 2017, he formed a band called "The Terranovas" but, like so many others, was restricted by COVID-19.
