Guitarist and drummer looking for a bassist and singer to write, jam, record and perform with. We have been jamming together for what seems like forever and have written quite a few songs together. this has been a hobby so far but we are now looking to take this to the next level. We play a variety of different types of music and are open minded musicians. Our sound could best be described as a psychedelic mixture of classic rock, alternative rock, and when we get heavy, grunge. We are looking for a singer and bassist who can write their own parts to songs we already have written, as well as writing songs together as a whole. We are looking for people who are as open minded as we are and are willing to experiment with our sound. We see no limits to where this could go.
As far as a singer goes, we aren't really sure what we are looking for. Up until recently we intended on keeping this an instrumental band, so its a little hard for us to picture what type of voice would suite our music. One thing we know for sure is we want a singer who is really versatile, as our sound varies greatly. Also, the ability to play the guitar/keys/other instrument is a plus but not necessary.
For a bassist, we are looking for someone who can write catchy, groovy bass lines. I (the guitarist) want a guitar/bass dynamic similar to the band rush, where we switch back and forth between rhythm and lead. Also, if you love using effects then that is a major plus. So is the ability to play other instruments.
Improvisation skills are an asset. we like to jam:):):)
Age isn't really an issue but we are looking for people who can commit to the band and make an effort to practice/jam on a regular basis. You must be comfortable with recording and performing if/when the opportunity comes up.
