ABOUT

Vanlene draws influence from grunge, alt, modern, classic, psychedelic, progressive, and indie rock. We are passionate about our music and our musicianship. We’re committed to achieving the highest possible level of lasting success as a long-term project. We also prioritize playfulness in our approach to writing, recording, and performing.

We’re looking for two members: a skilled and dedicated drummer, and a skilled and dedicated guitar player. Multi-instrumentalists are ideal but not necessary. Same for touring and recording experience. We have been working together for 7 years and have written, recorded, and performed together in several bands. With this project, we have 17 songs ready to go, and several more in various stages of completion. We are open to new members playing with and adapting their parts in these songs as we are looking for equal co-collaborators.

Our goals are to record, gig, and tour. This is our primary and long-term project.

Members Of Band

Kevin is a skilled, experienced, and inventive multi-instrumentalist. He has broad musical tastes and that breadth shows up in his unique and inspired music. Playing bass and electric guitar, drums, keys, and back-up vocals, Kevin is a skilled musician, quality collaborator, and an all-around good guy to be in a band with.

Lydia is an experienced and passionate singer. They combine singer-songwriter lyricism and broody, grungy, gritty delivery. Lydia prefers to be an active frontman and focus on vocals but also plays rhythm guitar, keys, and a mean tambourine/shaker. Keen to play off their bandmates and with strength in songwriting, Lydia is a valuable asset to any project, especially to Vanlene.

We don't have a practice space, and haven't gigged as this project yet.
