ABOUT

The JiveCrank Allstars are a 10-piece funk, soul R&B band. We play lots of cover songs: rare/obscure funk from the late 70s and early 80s and some contemporary R&B/Funk.

Originally formed in Melbourne, Australia, we have relocated to Toronto and are currently recruiting talented musicians. Our aim is to perform 2-4 times per month in med-large venues.

We are looking for talented funk and soul musicians who know and appreciate real funk music. You should be able to learn your parts of the songs before coming to rehearsal so we don't waste time learnings songs in rehearsal. We will not be rehearsing a lot, ideally only when we add new songs to the repertoire or occasionally to fin-tune the current sets.
We have a full repertoire professionally charted for a 3-piece horn section.
We are highly organized.
