We're a Calgary area working man's rock n' roll band...
Right now THE SLAVES consists of just two members, myself (Chris) on vocals, and Erik on guitar... We've been practicing and playing together for almost a year now and have built up a pretty decent setlist of covers plus a few originals that we're working on... We're in our early thirties, we both have day jobs and are a couple of mellow, easy going guys who are fairly serious about music, even though it's just a hobby, for now... We had a drummer who just moved to Edmonton, and we've been having difficulty finding a bass player who's the right fit, so right now we're looking for a drummer and a bass player (preferably one who plays keyboards too, but this is not a requirement).... We'd like to practice one or two days a week, and start playing shows around town as soon as we can...
