ABOUT

I'm looking for some serious musicians to complete a unique melodic death metal band in the vein of older In Flames (Colony) mixed with the epic quality of Mercenary/Scar Symmetry and the dynamics of Opeth. I have 7 songs written for the project. I've recorded 5 of these in a pretty rough guitars-only form for anyone interested in joining. The songs focus a lot on dual guitar harmonies and are very dynamic, often using syncopation and occasional off-time riffs. I have transportation so I'm willing to travel anywhere in the city to practice but I do not have my own space (fully open to renting a jam space if no one has room).
I'm starting this band from scratch so I'll be needing a drummer, bassist, vocalist (screamer... if you can sing, thats a bonus) and guitarist (preferably lead since I would rather stick to rhythm).
I mostly use a 7 string tuned to B so I would actually need any interested guitarists to own a 7 string or tune to B. Anyone interested should be fairly proficient at their instrument (especially the drummer), a dedicated musician within the ages of 17 to 30, have the time to practice at least 2 times a week, and have their own gear. Previous experience in bands is prefered but not required.
