Vocalist Wanted!

We are an acoustic indie folk band and we are looking for a committed vocalist to join our project.

We have been together for 2 years and we have been gigging for 1 year. We have about 15 completed originals and we are writing more constantly. Our band currently has a singer/songwriter/guitar player and a violin player. We are seeking a second vocalist to take a front and center role singing an abundance of harmonies, in some cases on every lyric in a particular song, with our lead vocalist.

We are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude. Given your vocal range, our songwriter will write harmonies for you. We are looking for someone who will respect our creative vision and strive to make it a reality (see our influences). The right vocalist for our band will be committed to learning their parts outside of rehearsals and coming to rehearsals with their parts practiced. We would rather find someone who is easy to communicate with and work with over someone who's voice is perfect.

We are looking for someone with the right experience and skillset. We are looking for someone that can learn harmonies that are not intuitive, may not sound "right" on their own, and are not the main melody of the song. We are looking for someone who can hit their entrances with these harmonies every time. We are looking for someone who can match the dynamics and style of our lead vocalist to compliment the main melody in a way that makes 2 vocals sound like 1 (see our influences). We are looking for someone with stage experience who is comfortable using a microphone and adjusting their dynamics on the fly in live situations.

Auxillary percussion experience, particularly with shakers, is an asset. Music production and audio engineering experience is an asset. Photo and video editting experience is an asset. Experience playing guitar, piano, or bass is a plus.

We are looking to continue writing and gigging locally. When the time is right, we will be looking to record our music, release it to the world, and make a strong marketing push via social media to build a following and fan base.
