ABOUT

I've been playing for a long time but I've disconnected for the last few years. I don't have a lot of spare time due to professional obligations. I work in the music industry full time. Also, Theatre and Dance. I was a professional musician for several years before I became a Sound Engineer. That takes up a whole bunch of my time but I'd love to reconnect with gigging capable musicians in almost any format to get going again.

I'm really looking for a true ROCK SINGER, think Sammy Hagar, Robin Zander, David Coverdale, and a Synth player that knows how to sequence and arpeggiate tracks in a live environment. I have some cool synths if that helps. DX7-I, Prophet Rev2 16 Voice, Moog L'il Phatty and an M-Audio Hammer 88.

Influences

This is a tough one. I've played everything from Alannis to ZZ Top in the gigging world. I've played on several recordings and done thousands of live shows. I'm not even joking. In the 90's I played around 200 shows a year for most of that decade before going part time.

EQUIPMENT

I have 3 rigs that I use. 4 if you count the Combo amp. I have a bi-amped rack mount rig with a 15" and a 4 x 10" cab (Ampeg) with Crown power, (Sometimes QSC, it depends) DBX stereo compression and a Peavey ProBass 1000 preamp. 2 FX loops in that one. That would be the main one. One loop for dirt, one loop for time. I have a Mark Bass Little Tube 800 w Mark bass STD 410HF cab. I also have an Aguilar DB751 Head with Aguilar DB810 cab and lastly an ancient Peavey COMBO 300 with a Peavey 15" extension cabinet.. My ProBass1000 is from the 80"s as well. If I ever find another Pre that has 2 effects loops I might switch it out. It's been 40 years and still nothing.

Pedalboard has Radial Tonebone bass preamp (2 channel), Ibanez Chorus, Boss Blues Driver Overdrive, TC Tuner, Radial Buffer and Radial effects switching among other tidbits.

Fretted basses are Ibanez SDGR 1204, Fender Jazz Bass with EMG's and Hipshot bridge and tuners, Steinberger XP2 with highly customised EMG electronics and drop D bass bridge and a Custom built Fretless P-Bass with Full Contact bridge, Hipshot tuners and Seymour Duncan electronics. A recent addition is a Shecter Stiletto Studio 8 string bass. (Like a 12 string guitar but a bass). UPDATE: I just got a short scale passive bass too. Looks like a Les Paul. 32.5 inch scale. It's wicked. So much low end. I think I like passive basses suddenly. Anyway, I have some delay/reverb things in my rack that I change out depending on the gig. I have all working cables as well. My stuff works every time I plug it in. I also have a personal IEM monitor system for myself. I'm basically self contained.
