30 plus years behind the kit.

Versatile multi instrumentalist. Knowledge of music theory and harmony. able to read drum charts with ease and moderately good sight reader. Perfect pitch and immaculate listener with a keen understanding of how to play in between and around other musicians and make smart musical choices. Well honed arrangers ear. Highly adaptable and excels under extreme pressure. Able to learn entire set lists on extremely short notice. also sing Tenor and can handle complex harmonies with ease while playing drums. If I am behind the kit, your audience will be moving and engaging. that's a fact.

Most importantly:

I have a great attitude and I'm fun to be around. I show up early and am ready and prepared for every practice. 'No' is not really in my vocabulary. I like a challenge and I'm always on my A game, every time, no exceptions. I don't drink, I have my own car for gigging and transportation and I'll help you carry your amps.

I also have moderate to advanced knowledge of mixing live sound and am very handy with stage setup and other logistics.

I know my rudiments, I practice with a metronome and I can play to a click when the situation calls for it. My main expertise is rock and pop. My style is groove focused and I have an advanced understanding of time with the ability to play precisely behind or ahead of the groove depending once the situation. My playing is fluid and dynamic and could dramatically elevate your music with that intangible element we all crave from a sold time keeper: immaculate feel. I can contribute effectively to writing and arranging original music and come up with great, memorable parts on the fly. I can record and edit video with professional editing tools.

I am interested in joining an established group of seasoned musicians and am open to all styles of music except metal (for now) until I am ready to add double kick to my setup (maybe never lol). Oh I can play metal. I just don't want to (right now)

I'm open to stripped down setups, I love playing kick snare and hi hat in patio settings and I can play very quietly and tastefully with brushes and a variety of percussion including a very nice meinl slaptop cajon drum. I can also handle bass guitar and rhythm guitar duties with a pretty high level of proficiency. As a little treat.

Basically, you probably want me in your band as soon as humanly possible.
