ABOUT

Guitar player/singer/DJ and producer out of cow town with roots in the hip hop and electronic music scene (dub, bass, house, electro..). Music is my life, I’m looking to create something more than just a band. Upon becoming sober my tastes have changed a lot and I’m really getting back into blues/blues rock, bluegrass, folk and southern rock styles. I am always trying my hardest to be original, to be true to myself. To create something that is a personal expression. I have been working hard taking vocal lessons, sharpening my guitar skill, and writing a lot of lyrics and guitar rhythms/leads. I have felt for some time that I’ve been missing something, missing collaboration. Someone to write music with, but more than that. I want to form a team. A family so to speak. Who want to join me in pouring soul and love into the art we create. I wanna express truth and be real. If this resonates with you, please reach out and we can talk more! DM me on Instagram @seaniegmusic or email me sm-mtb@

Started learning guitar around 13, playing a fair amount and as I grew my music taste changed and discovered a lot, electronic music really impacted me. Got my first controller at 18 y/o after seeing Zeds Dead @ cemetery of sound and started DJing. Like, eyes on fire remix Zeds Dead not the new stuff, think 2012.. Worked for a DJ company doing weddings, then got into the clubs playing more house music, and then formed a hip hop group with 2 old homies of mine, all that over the course of 4ish years. That hip hop group went downhill, unfortunately. But after some sweet moments; opened up for Mercules and DUBFX. Also headlined some smaller gigs. At the time felt like such great feats, and knowing it was our music that got us there. After that tanked I got involved in a “DIY” mixtape tour to the Netherlands. Good times. Since then I’ve taken a hiatus from playing shows, other than the occasional house party or private event. I’ve spent the last 7 years learning DJ and production, but really working seriously on learning production in the past 3/4 years while also having a 9 to 5 job. Hasn’t been easy but my skills are becoming much more refined. I also realized that drinking and other substances had a huge impact on my abilities so I quit everything drinking and all to take music more serious and have been sober for a little over a year by December 2020. I’m looking to start something real. I’m about to start putting out some solo stuff too. Bluesy kinda folk and rock stuff. Would love to share more. Also learning lots about the music business, and have quite a bit of experience throwing events.

EQUIPMENT

3 different sets of speakers. Bass bin. Midi keyboards. Native instruments Maschine. Full DJ 900 nexus set up. Rhodes NT1-A mic and stand w/sheild. I produce on a 2019 MacBook Pro custom order with upgrades. I have a decent sound library and I get a lot of samples on splice/use lots of virtual instruments. 4 guitars, a Fender Telecaster Nashville Deluxe, Earnie Ball Music Man Sting Ray, Art & Luthurie dreadnought acoustic, and a “home made” les Paul that is actually not complete almost done and a very close replica of a 1959 les Paul. I use a Marshal DSL15C amp which is super loud for 15 watts, nice little valve amp. Will be upgrading to a head and cab hybrid soon for ease of recording and studio playing with headphones (Revv D20). Also I have a nice sony mirror less camera. And some other little goodies.
