I started out about 40 years ago on my brother-in-laws vintage Ludwig Ringo kit. From there I ventured out to buy my own and found my current Premier kit. I've been playing it ever since.
For the past 40 years, I've been playing mostly just for fun. About 15 years ago, I got seriously back into the drums and haven't stopped.
I've taken online classes and am versed in many types of music but I'm still learning all the time.
I put down my instrument experience as "moderate". I would consider people like Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta or Dave Weckl as "advanced". Buddy Rich would be "expert". I'm secure enough to admit that I ain't no Buddy Rich! Yet..... :-)
