Saskia is a favorite on the Canadian folk scene. As a European immigrant she has come to love Canada deeply, but periodically returns to Holland to re-connect with her roots which shows in songs like War Bride, Spring Day in Holland, and Two Countries. Her talent as a seasoned singer/songwriter blends with a sense of humor that quickly puts her audience at ease. She performs with positive energy and strong conviction. Saskia toured and performed for 20 years with Darrel Delaronde as “The Great Plains’ and 10 years with Gary Fjellgaard throughout Canada and Europe. Nathan Tinkham helped her kick start her career with her first two albums and tours.
