I grew up just outside Owen Sound, Ontario. After listening to my grandfather fiddle, I started playing at age four. Since then, I have enjoyed a diverse career as both a fiddler of many styles and classical soloist, member of the Georgian Bay Symphony, and first violinist in the Festival Trio as well as fiddler for the celtic band Beggar's Road and fiddling, singing, and stepdancing alonside her brother. In 2010, I was named the Owen Sound Cultural Awards Emerging Artist of the year. That September I also packed up my instruments and moved to Newfoundland where I am a music performance major at Memorial University.
