ABOUT

I live to play guitar. This profile description is in fact only so short because I'm resting my fretting hand to recover from practicing like crazy for the past 3 months. I spent from 11PM one Monday night to 5AM in the following morning working on getting a single riff down, and with the exception of occasionally stretching my hand and resting it for 20 or so seconds every now and then, the only "break" I took during those six hours lasted 4 minutes. LITERALLY all I want to do with my time, and probably my life, is play guitar.

Influences

Hendrix. I love his music, and his dedication to his craft, more than almost anything else in life. The only thing I possibly love more than listening to him play, if anything, is playing guitar.

Led Zeppelin. I'd say the best thing about Zeppelin is Robert Plant, but I love Page. So many fantastic riffs, the definitive rock band, in my opinion.

Rodrigo y Gabriela. I put them down in spite of the fact that I don't play any flamenco-style guitar, but given the time I will definitely not hesitate to grab at any opportunity to learn.

Rush, but only some songs (La Vila Strangiato, YYZ, A Farewell to Kings...)

The White Stripes. They're simplistic, but Black Math is one of the best rock songs of the 21st century, easily on par with almost anything Led Zeppelin put out.

Neutral Milk Hotel. I never intend to play any of their songs live, well maybe actually. They're very strange, a mixture of indie folk, Pink Floyd, alternative music, as well as what I understand is a wide array of eclectic musical influences, but In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is one of my favourite albums of all time.

EQUIPMENT

A Fender Stratocaster, and an amplifier good and loud enough (easily) for jam sessions.

An old, old, but very good, acoustic guitar.
