SEEKING

Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums.

ABOUT

I’m a guitarist who likes studying music and seeking out great tone with a tube amp and pedals.

In my experience, all band projects will fail unless the members hold compatible goals and interests.

I’d like to lock down a weekly 3 hour jam session that focuses on original music.

I’m not delusional about my talent. I have no desire to Wow people with my music or give up my day job, which I’m really passionate about.

I like to write original songs but I’m never married to them. I have no problem with other members of the band adding to or changing my song ideas.

I can play lead guitar but i don’t have to be the only lead guitarist in the band.

A gig is a great goal but I’m not desperate to achieve it. If it happens because we get really tight, are having fun, and it’s part of the natural progression, then that’s awesome!

I’m really healthy, have a wife and two kids, and regularly skateboard (bowl).

For me, music is about working hard, learning, being creative, and having FUN!

Influences

I rarely learn cover songs, although I have in the past. I find I forget them unless I practice them regularly. I mostly study theory and try to implement it by using backing tracks and a loop pedal.

I listen to a wide variety of music; blues, metal, stoner rock, classic rock, pop, jazz fusion, and punk.

The stuff I write on guitar is mostly riff rock with a lot of gain but I am open to also writing stuff that is more clean sounding. There is a big pentatonic/blues influence to my writing.

Right now, I’m mostly listening to stuff like Kyuss and Witchcraft.
