Oct 2020 Update: Still with Dangerous Goods Band (dgoods dot calm). Still on our shared Covid holiday from gigging. Our last gig was March 14th 2020, just as all heck was breaking loose worldwide.

Below is my original text from when I first jumped on to Bandmix.

Hi, I'm Rob. I've played with bands in and around Calgary for 20+ years. Contact me at rbbigpile at gee male dot calm.

I like to think I'm a decent guitar player by now, but you be the judge (check out my songs and videos). I can also play bass, little bit of keyboard and I can sing lead or harmony. I have good gear plus PA and a truck to carry it with. On top of that, there's my stellar good looks. Hahaha!

I know a LOT of the old standard bar cover songs, and I'm pretty quick to learn new material by ear. Willing and able to play most anything except very heavy/hard rock / metal. Mostly into classic or newer rock, blues, Americana (Canadiana?) southern rock, folk, roots, rockabilly, alt-country. Etc.

BTW, I'm a mild-mannered IT pro by trade, happily married, zero drama. Family comes first, but I'm able to commit to a weekly night for band practice, and at least a couple weekend gigs a month. I'm easygoing, do my homework and will show up ready, on time, every time. Pro attitude but no delusions, not trying to be a star, just want to contribute to a good band and have some fun if this all works out.
