I'm looking to form a band, build my musicianship with others, and make friends. I've been playing rhythm guitar for almost 3 years now, and acoustic on and off since the age of 12. My musical tastes are varied, but I mostly listen to trash metal and death metal. I'm interested in forming a death metal band, with very powerful, very fast, semi-technical riffing, inspired by old school death metal acts, such as Deicide, Deteriorate, Cannibal Corpse, Ripping Corpse, and many other very influential bands (for me). Experience doesn't matter, because I myself have not been playing for long. I'd like to learn from others, and grow as musicians together. I write rough drafts of lyrics, usually dealing with Satanic, Lovecraftian, and Science Fiction elements. My ideas are sound, but my writing is rough, and I would be more than happy handing my lyrics over to a better, more proficient writer, for revision, or even a complete overhaul. I'm also happy with others writing lyrics, but with some collaboration. A band works best when all members are giving input, and I would very happy to collaborate on writing instrumentation, sharing ideas, and receiving criticism, I don't want this to be a "solo" band. I mainly play rhythm guitar because I do not like composing, or playing solos very much. I feel like they ruin the pace of a song. I can however play leads, and have learned a few by ear. I can also play bass guitar and can lend back-up vocals.

Unfortunately, during the move to Brantford (which was no more than couple months ago), some of my equiptment was stolen/lost. I still however, have:
Fender Stratocaster with Single Coil pickups (These will be replaced with Phat Screamer humbuckers very soon)
Washburn XB-100 Bass
Fender 1971 Acoustic Guitar
1 Marshall Amp, 1 Unknown Jazz Amp
1 Ibanez Tube Screamer that has been modded with a coil tap for a humbucker sound on a single coil guitar.
