ABOUT

Hi,
Our last show at the Park Theatre on June 16th went very well, we are editing the promotional movie that was filmed as well as the multitracks recording and it will be very soon on our website.
That said, due to other commitment, our Bass player has to step down and thus, as we want to keep the same set up, 7 pieces Pure Funk/Dance Band, bass, Keys, drums, Guitar, Mezzo Soprano, Soprano and Alto vocalist, female singers only, we are looking for a bass player.

We are looking for a: BASS PLAYER
If you have the same love for Funk and Pop/Dance Music like all of our members, this is what we are looking for. You should have:
- A great friendship and good musicianship too
- Being able and having the time to practice at home in order to have your part learnt when we will be rehearsing. We don’t jam or play again and again every song, the rehearsal is here to glue us together, working on specific live version or ending and starting etc.
- Being precise in your playing, wether it’s classic bass line or more slappy ones and being capable to lock it with the drummer to build the rhythmical foundation and support for our singers in a tight and precise harmony with the recording or the live version that has been chosen.
- Just a little detail, our drummer plays on click almost all the time and we have drum-boxes running on 75% of the songs for claps and effects, so, the rhythmic section, the drummer and you, are the beat keeper and our singers and other instruments are used to follow you, you don’t catch up when a mistake is done, we catch up to you so, easy for you if you have no issues to follow the drummer. If you need the same click as him, we could do that as well.
- Being ready to Rehearse with the band one time per week, 2 to 3 hours per week (And more, closer to the show we will be).
- But we are trying to play a lot of live version so, when the songs requires it, being able to add some creativity in all the places where our setup cannot compete with the hugely processed songs of our repertoire.
- Liking Funk/dance music of post 2010's, if it's older, it has to be in the vein of Chic/Nile Rodgers.
- Being able to adapt to the requests of the singers and the band leader: There is no big ego in the band but we are still very good professionals and have been individually playing for years...
- Charts with lyrics/verse/etc structure of songs and guitar/bass/Vocals charts are available but still need to be adjusted to your liking if you prefer, you have the base covered at least in word and pdf format and in a terrific App to practice and Rehearse, BandHelper.
- Who do what has been precisely defined so, les work for you for the first next months when you start.
- High end basses, 4 and 5 strings and Wireless In Ear Monitors are provided plus pedalboard for special effects on bass. Eden bass Amp and TC Cabinet 2X10 + 2X12 are available at the rehearsal place. Set up, EQ and effects have been prepared with them to be as close as we can of the live or recording version we play so, easier for you to get in.
- Everything above that describe a friendly but also Pro attitude as well should apply to the musicians we have now on board..
- Finally, in few words, if you are a “Pro” player that goes by the 4 “P’s”, Planning (showing up on time for example), Preparation (using the tool we give you and preparing your own way to learn things), Practice (Working on your own parts at home), performance, you are our guy.

BUT next big show is either for Halloween or for two Christmas party only (depending on booking confirmation) so, you will have time to learn and get in for sure.

Repertoire is already done, learnt, so, join us, that would be a good vibe with 3 female singers and a killer Harmonies section (Guitar and Keys), don't you think?

SEE PICTURES FOR MY BIO (And short presentation of the band to see what we play)

- Gear provided:
In Ear Monitors and Headphone amplifiers provided for everyone so, practice is "quite" calm and refreshing, musicians are not tired with feedback and not being able to hear themselves (They can really hear themselves I meant).
Lyrics and chords ready on Dropbox and an Apps (Bandhelper) plus harmonizer for effects on vocals.

Our current repertoire is mainly based on Pure Funk/Pop/Dance post 2010's songs...
If it's older, it has to have a connection with the vision of the band...Think Chic/Nile Rodgers...

Our show is 4 hours, 3 sets of 16 songs. The show on June 16th was 3 hours though due to usual set up at the Park Theatre.
Is it something you could be interested in, contact me at philippe dot baudet arobase yaa hooo dot fr like France...You understood...I have to write it this way to avoid the filter that will cancel my email address...
